DIET,Khordha celebrated its 2nd Annual Day on April 23, 2026, with great enthusiasm and academic spirit. The event brought together faculty, staff, students, research scholars, alumni association members and parents to celebrate institutional achievements and vibrant cultural expression.

The Chief Guest, Professor Hirendra Nath Ghosh is the current Director of the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar., highlighted the evolving role of teacher education in building a progressive and inclusive system, stressed holistic teacher development, and encouraged students to develop their own pedagogical practices.Guest of Honour Ms.Rupalika Dash AO,TE and SCERT emphasized innovation, interdisciplinary learning, research-driven education, the role of teachers in nation-building, and the importance of feedback, critical thinking, and scientific temper.Dr.Suvendu Pattanaik,Former Director Pathani Samanta Planetarium welcomed the guests and reflected on the institute’s accomplishments over the past year, including academic excellence, research contributions, and community engagement initiatives. She appreciated the collective efforts of students and faculty in upholding the institution’s legacy. This institute magazine ‘SRUJANI’ was released by the dignitaries.

The prize distribution ceremony recognized outstanding achievements across academics, other curricular, and leadership. A spectacular cultural programme followed, where students presented celebrating the diversity and unity of India. The celebration featured cultural performances showcasing regional diversity through music, dance, and drama.
